On price increase and finding a homebased business and job

As I was watching the news on TV, the newscaster announces that there are rice shortage due to lack of rice products which was the result of natural calamities in the provinces specially the rice capital of the philippines. There is an increase in commodities and in oil plus the fact that Meralco has increased its rates. And the things is, there will be an increase in electric consumption because it is the summer months definitely there will be an increase in power consumption due to the heat a price hike is definitely inevitable. WHEW! What can we do as a housewife but to tighten our belt further and learn to scrunch a bit further this time. Hay.... when will this stop.
As to my option, housewives should be more creative and innovative in budgeting and preparing meals or better yet try to find jobs that we could do while in the house. We could start selling foods, or turn our hobbies into an income generating job, for me I opted for a homebased job that will hone my skill in writing and my passion for foods. A bit at odds or polars apart this two things is what I like doing the most besides tending to my garden though.

As of now I am prospecting some businesses that I can do in the house myself and probably look for a writing job via the internet. Hopefully I can find one and decide what kind of food I would sell. Why I am doing this? I would like to help in our house expenses in my own little way. Hope that I find the right company in the near future. Wish me luck.
